How to Set Up Membership Types
- Navigate to Settings, then select Site Settings.
- Scroll down to the Memberships section and click Membership Types.
- Click Add Membership Type.
Fill in the Membership Type details, ensuring all required fields (*) are completed. Once finished, click Save.
Fields when creating a Membership Type:
- Membership Type: The name of the membership.
- Description: An internal explanation of the Membership Type.
- Active: Controls whether the Membership Type is available to select in the Membership Module. When set to Active, it can be selected and assigned to members. If toggled off, it becomes inactive and is hidden from selection but remains in your records.
- Amount: The default cost of this membership type, which automatically populates when assigning a contact to the membership. However, you can adjust it individually as needed.
- Fair Market Value: The dollar amount of received goods or services for the Membership Type.
- Renewal Period: The period of time the membership is valid (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime).
- Renews Every: The frequency at which the membership will renew when you process this Membership Type.
- Gift Defaults: Pre-selected gift-related options for this Membership Type (Campaign, Fund, Appeal, and/or Appeal Category).
You can now use this Membership Type in the Membership Module. 🎉
