Types of Lookup Tables
Once you've reviewed our guide Managing Lookup Tables, we suggest exploring and customizing your various Lookup Table options.
Below are the different Lookup Table options and what they are used for:
- Address Types: types of addresses for your contact records (Ex. Home, Business, Vacation, etc.).
- Contact Group Types: used to name groups of contacts for identification/segmentation purposes (Ex. board members, volunteers, sponsors).
- Contact Sources Types: identifies how the contact became familiar with the nonprofit (Ex. website, Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, event, etc.).
- Contact Status Types: indicates whether it is an active or inactive record.
- Donor Interest Types: identifies areas within the nonprofit that a donor/volunteer would be interested (Ex. education, volunteering, membership, events, etc.).
- Email Types: types of email addresses for your contact records (Ex. personal, business, secondary, spouse, etc.).
- Event Activity Types: a group of individual activities (Ex. journal ad sizes, raffles, sponsorships).
- Event Category Types: name given to the different types of events (Ex. outreach, educational, fundraising).
- Gender Types: gender identity referring to how someone identifies on the inside (Ex. nonbinary, cisgender, genderfluid, male, female, transgender, gender neutral, agender, and pangender).
- Gift Source Types: any identification of how the gift came to the nonprofit (Ex. Venmo, Facebook, outside fundraiser, etc.).
- Grant Funder Types: type of organization funding the grant (Ex. private foundation, government, bank, etc.).
- Grant Status Types: the standing of the grant (Ex. applied, awarded, complete, renewed, etc.).
- Income Level Types: monetary amounts representing the amount that a contact record makes financially in a year.
- Marital Status: a contact record's standing of being single, married, separated, divorced, or widowed.
- Membership Mailing Types: categorized mailings for the Membership Module (Ex. benefits mailing, renewal notices, etc.).
- Phone Types: categories of telephone numbers (Ex. home, cell, business, etc.).
- Prospect Rating Types: the level of possibility of acquiring a donor and a donation (Ex. high, medium, or low).
- Prospect Status Types: the stage of communication/relationship with the donor (Ex. first contact, ask, complete, less engaged, etc.).
- Relationship Types: categories of connections (Ex. brother, co-worker, spouse, etc.).
- Task Types: categories of assignments (Ex. call, meeting, to-do, etc.).
- Title Types: name prefixes (Ex. Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr., etc.).
- Tribute Types: categories related to gift tributes (Ex. in honor of, in support of, in memory of).
- Volunteer Interest Types: categories of areas of interest within the nonprofit for volunteers (Ex. events, governance, membership, social media, etc.).
- Volunteer Job Status: standing of the volunteer's job (Ex. pending background check, background check complete, active, inactive, etc.).
