If Eleo Feels Slow: How to Check Your Internet Speed

If Eleo pages are taking longer than usual to load, the issue may not be Eleo itself — it could be your internet connection. Here’s how to quickly check your connection and share helpful details with our support team if needed.

Step 1: Test Your Internet Speed

  1. Go to fast.com and the site will automatically test your internet connection (site is powered by Netflix).
  2. Once the test is complete (the large number stops changing and turns black), click the “Show more info” button to view additional details like your upload speed and latency (delay).

Step 2: Understand Your Results

Term What It Means Why It Matters in Eleo
Download Speed How fast information travels to your computer (like loading pages or reports). Slow download speed can make web pages take longer to appear.
Upload Speed How fast information travels from your computer to Eleo (like saving records or uploading files). Slow upload speed can delay saving, uploading, or sending data.
Latency – Unloaded The time it takes your connection to respond when it’s not under stress. High latency can make your it feel “laggy” when switching between pages.
Latency – Loaded The delay when your network is busy (streaming, Zoom calls, other users online). A much higher number here means your Wi-Fi may be crowded or congested.

Step 3: Compare Your Numbers

Category Download Speed Upload Speed Latency (Unloaded) Experience
Poor Below 10 Mbps Below 5 Mbps Over 150 ms Pages or reports may load very slowly.
Fair / Usable 10–50 Mbps 5–15 Mbps 80–150 ms Occasional lag when loading or saving data.
Good 50–200 Mbps 15–50 Mbps 40–80 ms Smooth overall, with minor pauses.
Excellent 200–500 Mbps 50–100 Mbps Under 40 ms Consistently fast and responsive.
Outstanding 500+ Mbps 100+ Mbps Under 30 ms Instant page loads and uploads.

Quick Ways to Try Improving Performance

If your results show slower speeds or higher latency, try these simple steps before reaching out:

  • Move closer to your router or plug in with an Ethernet cable.
  • Pause streaming, video calls, or large downloads while using Eleo.
  • Restart your modem or router.
  • Close unused browser tabs or background apps.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies to remove old data and refresh Eleo’s pages.

If your speeds are good but Eleo still feels slow, please contact Eleo Support — we’ll help investigate on our end.

Tip: Get a Quick Evaluation

You can paste your results or upload a screenshot into an AI chatbot like ChatGPT and ask it to interpret your internet speeds. It can explain what your numbers mean and suggest whether the issue is likely your connection or the software you’re using.

AI Chatbot Prompt Example (fill in your result numbers from your speed test):

“Can you tell me if these internet speeds are good for using online software? Download 42 Mbps, Upload 10 Mbps, Latency 110 ms.

If my numbers are not good, please include practical suggestions that may help improve internet performance (for example: restart my router, move closer to Wi-Fi, or close background programs).

If my numbers are good, let me know if I should contact the software’s support team.”
